Eugene "Gene" Zoglio was born and raised in Massachusetts. Following graduation from Newman Prep in Boston, Gene Zoglio moved to Washington, D.C., and became a police officer with the Metropolitan Police Department. Mr. Zoglio worked in an undercover capacity with the Narcotics Squad and then in the Morals Division; where he served as a Detective, Detective Sergeant and finally, as a Lieutenant. After 12 years of service, Mr. Zoglio retired from the police department in 1970. Mr. Zoglio earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Criminal Justice from American University and received a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. After retiring from the police department, Mr. Zoglio served as a consultant with the Justice Departments Law Enforcement Assistance Administration. Following his retirement from the police department, Mr. Zoglio also served at a local college as a full Professor and Department Chairman responsible for Police Science, Fire Science and Paralegal programs. Mr. Zoglio taught courses in the areas of Police Administration, Criminal Law and Evidence of Procedure. Following his admission to the Maryland Bar, Florida Bar, and the District of Columbia Bar, Mr. Zoglio opened his own law firm in 1978. Now primarily a medical malpractice and personal injury attorney, Mr. Zoglio continues to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Florida. Over his twenty plus year career as an attorney, Gene Zoglio has practiced in the areas of criminal law, family law, administrative law, medical malpractice and personal injury law. Mr. Zoglio maintains law offices in Bowie, Maryland; Edgewater, Maryland; and Key West, Florida.
